The main objectives of this Bachelor of the Arts in History are:
To teach the students how to reflect from a historical and critical standpoint; to develop in them a historical sensitivity and give them a clear perspective of the great transformations of mankind along the history; to provide them with the tools of the discipline for the analysis of their past and their reality.
To educate young people capable of conducting postgraduate studies in order to undertake research activities or perform professionally in the fields of teaching, dissemination, or cultural heritage management in history.
To teach the students the concepts, techniques, languages (visual, verbal and text) essential to the historical analysis and to communicate with the society in different levels and convey the learnt knowledge.
To promote discipline of students to conduct individual study and teamwork, which are essential attitudes to progress professionally
To encourage students to explore and improve new forms and instruments of teaching and communicating with society in order to convey knowledge and create a sensitivity towards history.
To train professionals that are acquainted with the legal and ethical principles to preserve, use, and disseminate cultural knowledge and heritage.
