PhD Jorge A. Pérez Pineda

Member of the National Researcher System, level I. He has a PhD in International Economy and Development from the Complutense University of Madrid, with postgraduate studies in the University of Essex in the United Kingdom, and a specialization in Global Governance from the Deutsche Institut für Entwicklungspolitik in Germany. His work focuses on the subjects of social entrepreneurial responsibility, economical development, financing for development, and the private sector in international cooperation. Up to 2013, he was in charge of the Research Coordination in Social Sciences and International Cooperation at the José María Luis Mora Research Institute. He collaborated with BANCOMEXT in México and in the commercial consultancy of Mexico in Spain for several periods, and with the association Un Kilo de Ayuda as a project coordinator and management director. He has been advisor and researcher for international organisms such as the Inter-American Institute of Cooperation for Agriculture (IICA), the German consultancy Endeva, the AECID, GIZ, and national institutions as the INAFED y CONACYT. He has published and coordinated several books, papers, and book chapters, some of the most relevant of which are: Mexico and the middle income countries in the cooperation for development: Where are we going to? published by the Mora Institute, FLACSO and CIDEAL. She has been professor at the Anahuac University, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico; at the Mora Institute she gives courses in the Master’s program in International Cooperation for Development.
