Graduates Profile
At the end of the Master’s program the graduates will have acquired and developed the following academic competences: they will get to know the different theories and approaches in sociological theory, political theory, and socio-political studies; they will work with the fundamentals of scientific research methodology in social sciences, and will be acquainted with various techniques for data gathering and analysis both qualitative and quantitative. Also, they will learn about the evolution and trajectory of the social processes undergone in Latin America and, particularly, Mexico
As an essential condition to obtain the Master’s degree in Political Sociology, the students must undertake an original research in a field specialized in socio-political studies and will have the required abilities and competences for them to go on with PhD studies in prestige institutions or to enter the job market, social organizations (private, civil, or political) or in the public service.
